After Tarnation in 2003 and All flowers in time in 2010, Walk Away Renée, american filmmaker Jonathan Caouette new movie, co-produced by Love Streams agnès b.’s film production company is released on May 2nd in France.

Walk Away Renée has been selected in 64th Cannes Film Festival in Semaine de la critique.

Synopsis:
Filmmaker Jonathan Caouette embarks on a road trip to move his mentally ill mother Renée across the country. As they encounter roadblocks in the present, we begin to flash back to moments from the past, giving us insight into this anything-but-ordinary mother/son relationship. Through musical montage, psychedelic sequences and real and imagined circumstance, Walk Away Renée raises questions about love, sacrifice, and the reality in which we live.

This table clock displays the time in written words by means of a matrix of letters. A special screen process gives the letters, illuminated by brilliant white LEDs, pin sharp definition. The monolithic body is seamlessly milled from a single aluminium block. The ensemble represents a milestone in the aesthetics of table clocks. “On the desk in the office, in the living room or in the bedroom, the compact QLOCKTWO TOUCH is a good friend wherever you put it.”, says Marco Biegert of Biegert & Funk.

QLOCKTWO, a clock that tells time in words. It has a quadratic matrix of letters, where some of the letters are illuminated. The time is displayed as text in five minute intervals. If you need to have a more exact time, look in the corner at the illuminated dots. QLOCKTWO has a brightness sensor; with its help the illuminating power of the letters is automatically adjusted.

Rocky Schenck’s work lies somewhere between our greatest fantasies and our worst fears. His pieces are consumed by a darkness that is as romantic as it is dangerous. Lurking around deserted landscapes, backyard porches, forgotten highways and abandoned ponds, Schenck travels the world searching for the obscure and mysterious. In his newest pieces, Schenck takes us into the gardens, hotel rooms and dress shops of London, constantly searching for places he can reinvent. Once captured, he manipulates, tones and paints his images until they achieve specific moods. It’s these raw emotions that separate his work from all other photographs being produced today. Through his images, we travel into shadows that are as comforting as they are dangerous. In Schenck’s world, we are both at ease and at attention — a rare feeling experienced by art today.

INTIMACY is a fashion project exploring the relation between intimacy and technology. Its high-tech garments entitled ‘Intimacy White’ and ‘Intimacy Black’ are made out of opaque smart e-foils that become increasingly transparent based on close and personal encounters with people.

This humoristic packaging offers the function of assembling two products (two paintbrushes) together with only one cardboard printed on both sides.

One paintbrush is a big one and the other is a small one for finishing touches. Once it’s folded, the package has two possibilities: 1. Protecting paintbrushes while you carry them on. 2. Support paintbrushes when it’s filled with paint. Each paintbrush has been named and linked to a size number to identify them. The natural hairs of some paintbrush have been dyed. A paintbrush wall support is offered after you bought the product in order to keep you workspace clean and organized.

‘To a Fly’, a short experimental video/sound design work from Sam Spreckley. The simplest can be much more complex and dynamic than at first thought!

“I’ve always been fascinated by the every day details that we sometimes take for granted even though upon closer inspection they can be baffling, different, completely amazing and totally unique to the world. Something so small (compared to us) can sometimes be so detailed and full of complexities upon closer inspection. This short work focuses on a humble house fly that had been keeping me company for a time. I try with sound to emphasize some of its movement, perhaps it conveys the wonder and fascination i can find in little things. To a Fly, a visual poem.”

A mixtape coffee table from Jeff Skierka Designs.

“This coffee table is a 12:1 scaled replica of a cassette tape. It is made of reclaimed maple, walnut and lucite. Dimensions are 47.25” x 30” x 5” with a 3/8” plexi top. This is a first prototype and one of a kind table. Future versions will be CNC machined out of high grade plywood with a variety of ply combinations and a glass top. This table has been an obsession of mine for 5 years! It is amazing to finally have it come to fruition. The table is completely reversible (sides A and B).”
